Earlier this week, we reported raids being conducted by income tax officials at the offices and residences of prominent producers like Dil Raju, Y Ravi Shankar, and Naveen Yerneni, among others. While the raids at Dil Raju’s offices continued for a fourth day, reports are now coming in that Dil Raju has been taken in, from his residence to his production house office, for further questioning about the issue.

While the IT raid operations, consisting of 55 members, are a part of the broader investigation into tax evasion in the film industry, Dil Raju reportedly fell under scrutiny after a discrepancy was found in the tax paid and the reported income of the production company Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil Raju produced the recently released Sankranthi Vasthunam, which has emerged as a massive box-office hit. A similar discrepancy was reportedly found in the collections of Pushpa 2, produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Other prominent film personalities whose residences and offices were raided include Pushpa 2 director Raju’s business partner, Sirish, as well as the home of his daughter, Hansita Reddy.
