Anil Ravipudi, who recently scored a massive box office hit with the Venkatesh starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam, completed 10 years as a filmmaker on Thursday. The director’s debut film, the Nandamuri Kalyan Ram starrer Pataas, released on January 23, 2015. On the occasion, the filmmaker penned a heartfelt note, recalling his 10-year journey. 

Taking to his X page, the director wrote, “Pataas changed my life forever. It the foundation of everything I am today.” Reflecting on his journey, Anil Ravipudi added, “Every moment has been a lesson, and every minestrone a blessing. The overwhelming love from well-wishers and audience are what kep me going through every challenge.”

Concluding his note, the filmmaker stated, “Thank you for standing by me and making this decade. Unforgettable. Grateful to everyone always.”

Sankranthiki Vasthunam marks the third collaboration between Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi, after F2 and F3. The comedy entertainer also starred Meenaakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead cast. As of January 23, the film has grossed over Rs 190 crore worldwide.
