Earlier we reported that income tax officials have been conducting raids on prominent Telugu industry producers—Dil Raju and Mythri Movie Makers. Reports suggest that on Thursday, during the IT raid, Dil Raju’s mother fell sick. She had to be taken to the hospital immediately in the same vehicle that IT officials arrived in. A female IT officer was sent along with her to the hospital. More details are awaited on the condition of the Dil producer’s mother.
The raids extended to the residence of his business partner and producer, Sirish, as well as the home of his daughter, Hansita Reddy. Two days ago, during the raid, Dil Raju’s wife, Tejaswini, briefly interacted with the media and said, “It’s just a routine IT check. Nothing to worry about.”
Simultaneously, searches are underway at the properties of Mythri Movie Makers, including the residences of producers Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, along with their CEO, Cherry. The production house recently had the industry-hit pan-India film, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Reports indicate that the operation involves 55 teams conducting inspections across eight locations. Dil Raju, known for high-budget films that were released recently, Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vastunnam, is reportedly facing significant scrutiny. The Venkatesh starrer became a 150-crore grosser at the box office.
