Venkatesh starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam has performed exceedingly well in its first week at the box office. The Anil Ravipudi directorial collected Rs 122 crore (nett) at the domestic box office, according to a report from Sacnilk.com.

The film’s domestic nett collections on Monday stood at 8.4 cr, reflecting a conventional decline in 50-60% range from its Sunday collections. If it maintains a similar steadiness for the coming few days, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is likely to touch the 200 crore nett figure by the end of its week 2. In the overseas market, the film has grossed nearly Rs 26 crore.

The film, which also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenaakshi Chaudhary in the lead cast, is the undoubted winner among this year’s Sankranthi releases, with Daaku Maharaaj and Game Changer, which collected Rs 74 crore and 117 crore, respectively.

The film is also expected to emerge as the highest grossing Sankranthi release ever. Currently, the record is held by the 2020 Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramloo which garnered Rs 200 crore nett at domestic box office.
