While the coming week will see the releases of small and midscale films like Hathya and Gandhi Tatha Chettu, Telugu cine-goers also have a special treat coming their way. The makers of Ravi Teja’s Neninthe are planning to release the film on January 26, on the occasion of Ravi Teja’s birthday.

DVV Entertainment, the production banner for the film, shared the re-release update on their X page. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Neninthe told the story of an assistant director aspiring to make it big in movies. The Ravi Teja starrer, which also featured Siya Gautam as the female lead, offered a satirical perspective of the film industry. While the film was not a big hit when it first released, Neninthe went on to gain a cult following in coming years. The film, which was also the recipient of 3 Nandi awards, is being re-released by Sri Matha Creations.

Ravi Teja was last seen in the Harish Shankar directorial Mr Bachchan. Incidentally, Puri Jagannadh’s previous feature Double iSmart also released on the same day as Mr Bachchan.
