Kannappa makers unveil Akshay Kumar's character as Lord Shiva

The Manchu Vishnu starrer is releasing on April 25, 2025 in major pan-Indian languages.

The makers of Kannappa, starring Manchu Vishnu, unveiled Akshay Kumar’s poster as Lord Shiva. The poster shows a fierce Akshay Kumar doing the Shiva Thandavam (Dance of Shiva) standing on a rock against a dramatic skyline. The team released the poster and wrote, “The supreme lord who rules over the three worlds surrenders himself to pure devotion.”

Kannappa, produced by 24 Frames Factory, is based on the story of a Shiva devotee after the same name. The period epic action film also stars Mohanlal, Prabhas, Mohan Babu, Sarath Kumar, Kajal Agarwal and more. Prabhas is reportedly going to do a special cameo in the epic film.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa has cinematography by Seldon Chau, editing by Anthony Gonsalvez, and music by Stephen Devassy. The stunts and epic war sequences are choreographed by Kecha Khamphakdee. The film is coming to screens on April 25, 2025.
