Sukriti Veni Bandreddi, daughter of director Sukumar, is set to make her acting debut with Gandhi Tatha Chettu. While promoting the film, the team interacted with the media. When asked about her aspirations of becoming an actor, Sukriti revealed. “I asked my father for a role in Pushpa. He told me to audition.”
Sukumar joined the media and playfully asked a few questions to his daughter. When he asked about her choice of accepting Gandhi Tatha Chettu, she said, “Initially I was not sure. But my father told me that I would get good opportunities if I did this.” Sukumar hailed his daughter’s performance in the film.
The film’s trailer, which was unveiled recently, depicts Sukriti as a little girl uniquely named Gandhi. The plot revolves around a diabolical corporation that tries to grab land in the village where Gandhi’s grandfather’s sacred tree resides. How she puts up a fight against the Goliath with Gandhian principles taught by her grandfather forms the plot. Sukriti Veni is reported to have shaved her head for the film.
