Tragedy strikes after Ram Charan’s Game Changer pre-release event at Kakinada

The pre-release event for Ram Charan’s much-anticipated film, Game Changer, turned tragic as two fans lost their lives in a road accident while returning home. The event, held on December 4 in Rajahmundry, saw massive fan turnout, reflecting the excitement for the film.

The victims, Arava Manikantha (23) and Thokada Charan (22) from Kakinada district, were riding a bike when a van collided with them near Vadisaleru around 9:30 pm. Despite being rushed to Peddapuram Hospital, both succumbed to their injuries.

Producer Dil Raju expressed grief over the incident, announcing financial support of Rs 5 lakh each for the victims’ families. “I deeply regret this tragedy. Ram Charan and I will stand by the families,” he said. Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, who also attended the event, extended similar financial aid, emphasising the emotional toll such incidents take.

Ram Charan also has pledged Rs 10 lakh for the victims’ family. 

The event featured emotional speeches, including Pawan Kalyan crediting Chiranjeevi for his success, and boosted hype for the film. Directed by Shankar Shanmugham, Game Changer stars Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, and SJ Suryah. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, the political thriller is slated for release on January 10, 2025.
