The makers of Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, announced that the film’s teaser is set to release on March 1. The period fantasy drama is slated for an April 25 release. With a special cameo from Prabhas, as Rudra, there is immense expectation riding on the film. The high-scale project is bankrolled by Mohan Babu, father of Manchu Vishnu, under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments. 

Kannappa is based on the epic mythology story of a Shiva devotee after the same name. Manchu Vishnu also doubles up as screenwriter for the film. The period epic action film also stars Akshay Kumar, Mohan Lal, Mohan Babu, Sarath Kumar, Kajal Agarwal and more. The film is set to feature high-scale visuals with a gripping narrative. 

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa has cinematography by Seldon Chau, editing by Anthony Gonsalvez, and music by Stephen Devassy. The stunts and epic war sequences are choreographed by Kecha Khamphakdee. The film is slated for a pan-Indian release.
