The makers of 8 Vasantalu announced that the film’s first single titled ‘Andhamaa Andhamaa’ is set to be out on March 3. The coming-of-age drama, a Hesham Abdul Wahab musical, grabbed attention with its emotionally compelling teaser which was released recently.

8 Vasantalu is written and directed by acclaimed independent filmmaker, Phanindra Narsetti who is famous for his indie films Backspace (2012), Madhuram (2014) and the crowd-funded film Manu (2018).

8 Vasantalu, which revolves around the story of a female martial artist, stars Ananthika Sanilkumar of Mad (2023)-fame as the protagonist, and Shuddi Ayodhya. The film is touted to be the journey of a girl who goes through her age of innocence to becoming a strong-willed person. Her character Shuddi Ayodhya transitions from a calm 19-year-old to an intense 27-year old woman who is a writer and practices martial arts. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. 

Vishwanath Reddy cranked the camera for the upcoming film while Shashank Mali took care of the editing. 

The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
