Sankranthiki Vasthunam director Anil Ravipudi recently launched the first look of Anandhi starrer Shivangi. On the occasion, the makers also announced March 7 as the film’s release date.

The first-look poster features Anandhi sporting a black lungi, shirt, and shades, sitting royally on a sofa, which alludes to her character being a powerful criminal figure in the film. Shivangi also features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as a ‘Mind Hunter’ cop named Sarika Singh. Directed by Devraj Bharani Dharan, the film has been billed as a women-centric film. Actors like John Vijay and Dr Koya Kishore will be seen in prominent roles as well. 

The film marks the maiden production for the First Copy Movies banner, with Naresh Babu P serving as the producer. The music composition is by AH Kashif and Ebenezer Paul. Bharani K Dharan is working as DOP, and Raghu Kulkarni is the art director. Currently, the Shivangi team is busy wrapping up the final stage of post-production. 

Varalaxmi’s last Telugu film was the cop thriller Sabari, while Anandhi was last seen in the 2024 Tamil film White Rose. Her upcoming projects include Premante and Bhairavam, both of which are yet to get a release date.
