Nagarjuna praises son Naga Chaitanya as Thandel achieves box office success

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s latest film has been gaining acclaim for performances and music

Actor Nagarjuna has praised his son, Naga Chaitanya, for the success of his latest film, Thandel. The romantic drama, co-starring Sai Pallavi, has clocked in over Rs 35 crore within its first three days of release, according to Sacnilk. Trade reports indicate a significant surge in collections over the weekend.

Nagarjuna took to X on Sunday evening to express his appreciation for Chaitanya’s efforts. “Dear Chaitanya Akkineni, proud of you, my son! I have watched you push boundaries, face challenges, and give your heart to the craft. Thandel is not just another film—it is a testament to your relentless passion, your courage to dream big, and your hard work.”

He also acknowledged the support of Akkineni fans. “You have stood by us like family, and Thandel’s success is as much yours as it is ours. Thank you for your endless love and support! Gratitude.”

Nagarjuna further thanked the film’s producers, Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas, while praising Sai Pallavi, composer Devi Sri Prasad, director Chandoo Mondeti, and the entire Thandel team for their contributions.

Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and starring Naga Chaitanya, was released on February 7. The CE review of the romantic film states, “A brilliant Sai Pallavi remains the only saving grace of this love story that cannot make up its mind about its themes, pacing, or intentions.”
