Kannappa, the Vishnu Manchu starrer fantasy drama, is tentatively scheduled to release in April this year. Now T series has officially come on board for the film, bagging the music rights.

Recently, the makers also announced that the new single of their film, titled ‘Shiva Shiva Shankaraa,’ will be released on February 10 at a grand ceremony in Bengaluru. Stephen Devassy is the music composer for the film, while lyrics are penned by Ramajogayya Sastry.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa boasts of cameos from stars like Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar and Prabhas. A few days ago, the makers unveiled Prabhas’ character poster, introducing him as Rudra. The film additionally features Kajal Aggarwal, Madhoo, Sarath Kumar, Preity Mukundhan and Brahmanandam among others. 

Vishnu’s father Mohan Babu is producing Kannappa, besides playing the role of Mahadev Shastri in the film. 24 frames Factory is the production banner for the film.
