The makers of Laila released their film’s trailer on Thursday. The Vishwak Sen starrer is slated for a theatrical release on February 14.

Directed by Ram Narayan, Laila promisingly revolves around the shenanigans of Sonu, an in-demand make-up artist who is forced to go into hiding after being held responsible for the critical medical condition of a prominent political figure. With no other respite in sight, Sonu takes up the disguise of a woman which lands up in further troubles, including a romantic relationship with a gang leader.

Billed as a ‘rectangular revenge story,’ Laila promises to be a wacky potboiler, with a heavy dose of slapstick, double-meaning entendre, and massy action moments.  Akanksha Sharma plays the female lead, while actors like Vineet Kumar, Babloo Prithaveeraj and Abhimanyu Singh play prominent roles. The music has been composed by Leon James, and Richard Prasad is the cinematographer.

Laila is produced by Sahu Garapati under the banner of Shine Screens.
