The makers of Thandel unveiled the final single from the film titled ‘Aazaadi.’ The thumping beat falls under familiar territory for the film’s composer Devi Sri Prasad. With resonating lyrics by Shreemani and deep vocals by Nakul Abhyankar, the song has a strong protest quality with its themes of patriotism and brotherhood. The chorus especially stands out in the song. The film’s album became a chartbuster already.

The trailer for Thandel begins with tender moments between fisherman Raju (Naga Chaitanya) and Bujji Thalli (Sai Pallavi) before shifting to Raju’s journey overseas to protect his community. The stakes rise as Raju and his crew are captured by the Pakistani army, setting the stage for a tale of love, patriotism, and heroism amidst cross-border tensions. The film’s title, Thandel, is explained in the trailer as “the one who anchors his crew, love, and people, willing to sacrifice his life.”

Thandel brings together Chandoo Mondeti, known for his National Award-winning Karthikeya 2, and Naga Chaitanya, marking their second collaboration after the 2016 film Premam. With cinematography by Shamdat, and production design by Srinagendra Tangala, the film is gearing up for release on February 7.
