The much-awaited first glimpse of Rashmika Mandanna starrer Mysaa was unveiled on Wednesday. The action-thriller is being directed by debutant filmmaker Rawindra Pulle.

Rashmika promises to showcase a never-seen-before action-driven persona in Mysaa. The first glimpse is underlined by an intense voiceover that describes Rashmika’s character as a wounded woman whose rage overpowers every force of nature.

The teaser is shot with an impressive visual aesthetic, as Rashmika’s character can be seen marching towards her enemies, unafraid, in the middle of a forest that’s on fire. One can also see handcuff dangling from Rashmika’s left hand, alluding to her criminal past that has possibly played a part in her rebellious force. The teaser ends with Rashmika growling with a feral force that adds to her character’s intense aura.

While the first glimpse doesn’t spell it out, Rashmika in Mysaa is reportedly playing a Gond tribal woman. For the same, the Pushpa 2 actor had to  undergo extensive physical transformation and combat training.

Produced by Ajay and Anil Sayappureddy under Unformula Films, the film features Retro fame Shreyaas P Krishna as the cinematographer.  A few days ago, the team had announced renowned action director Andy Long, who is known for his work in Kalki 2898 AD and Liger, as part of the project.  In October, Lokah fame Jakes Bejoy came onboard as the composer for the project. Among Telugu film-goers, Jakes Bejoy is known for his songs and background for the 2024 Nani starrer Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. More details about the primary cast are yet to be announced, meanwhile.

Rashmika Mandanna was recently seen headlining Rahul Ravindran’s The Girlfriend, which performed considerably well at the box office. Her upcoming films include Cocktail 2, which also stars Kriti Sanon.
