Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently tied the knot with Raj Nidimoru, has returned to the sets of her upcoming film Maa Inti Bangaram with renewed energy. She is not only playing the lead role in the film but is also producing it. Currently in production, the film is said to feature one of the most physically demanding and defining performances of her career.
Maa Inti Bangaram is being produced under Samantha’s banner, Tralala Moving Pictures, in association with producing partners Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru. The film will see Samantha performing the majority of her action and stunt sequences herself. Notably, for the first time, she executes intense action scenes while dressed in a saree, creating a striking visual rarely seen on the big screen.
"Maa Inti Bangaram was envisioned as a story rooted in emotion and values, but told with the scale and energy of a true action spectacle. Samantha taking on the challenge of performing most of the action herself, and doing it in a saree, brings a rare and powerful authenticity to the film,” said Himank Duvvuru, one of the film’s co-producers.
After establishing her action credentials in The Family Man and Citadel: Honey Bunny, Samantha promises to push the envelope further with a role that blends raw, high-impact action with a deeply Indian aesthetic. Traditionally a symbol of grace, the saree transforms into an emblem of strength as she takes on challenging stunt sequences with minimal use of body doubles. “After The Family Man and Citadel, Samantha wanted to challenge herself further. In Maa Inti Bangaram, she’s performing most of the action herself — and doing it in a saree. It’s physically demanding and visually powerful, a portrayal audiences rarely get to see,” says a source.
Directed by Nandini Reddy, with Raj Nidimoru serving as the film’s creative force, Maa Inti Bangaram blends emotion, action, and spectacle. The film reflects Samantha’s evolving vision as a producer committed to bold, story-driven cinema.
