Samantha’s next film Maa Inti Bangaram, also starring Gulshan Devaiah, goes on floors
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who had officially announced the launch of her production house last year, is next producing a film titled Maa Inti Bangaram under the banner. On Monday, Samantha shared a video of the muhurtham puja ceremony that took place on Dasara. The film is now officially on shooting floors.
Taking to her X page, Samantha shared the muhurtham puja video, adding the caption, “Started our journey with the Muhurtham of Maa Inti Bangaram, surrounded by love & blessings. We can’t wait to share with you what we’re creating… need all your love and support as we begin this special film.”
Gulshan Devaiah will mark his Telugu debut with the film. Actors like Diganth, Gautami and Manjusha are part of the ensemble cast. Directed by Nandini Reddy, Maa Inti Bangaram boasts a fascinating technical team, with Santhosh Narayanan onboard as the music composer and Om Prakash as the cinematographer. Other key technicians include Pallavi Singh as the costume designer, Ullas Hydur as the production designer and Dharmendra Kakarla as the editor.
Nandini Reddy had previously collaborated with Samantha on the 2019 film Oh Baby!. Jointly produced by Samantha, Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru, Maa Inti Bangaram is billed as an action-drama. The first look of the film was launched in April last year, featuring Samantha in a striking animated poster, where the Kushi actor can be seen pointing a gun in the horizon.
Maa Inti Bangaram was announced in April last year, and was planned as the maiden production under Tralala Moving Pictures. However, the Praveen Kandregula directorial Subham released first. Starring Harshith Reddy and Shriya Kontham among others, Subham was written by Vasanth Mariganti, which is also the co-writer for Maa Inti Bangaram, sharing story and screenplay credits with Sita Menon.
On the big screen, Samantha was last seen in a major role in the relationship drama Kushi, where she shared screen with Vijay Deverakonda. Diredcted by Shiva Nirvana, Kushi failed to take off at the box office despite a strong opening day.
