On Tuesday night, the makers of Akhanda 2 officially announced that they would now be releasing the film on December 12, with premiere shows on December 11. With such an unexpected setback last week, when the team was compelled to postpone the release, film-goers remained curious whether Akhanda 2 would also stick to the high ticket prices, especially for the premiere shows which were prices at Rs 600, or would play safe.

However, Andhra Pradesh issued a GO permitting the premiere show tickets to be priced upto Rs 600.  As per the order, only one premiere show at 8 pm has been allowed, with the ticket price fixed at ₹600, including GST.

Additionally, for the next 10 days, an approval of Rs 100 and Rs 75 (for multiplexes and single screens, respectively) were approved by AP Government.

Meanwhile, with Akhanda 2 arriving in 2 days, Psych Siddhartha has officially postponed its release to January 1. On the other hand, Mowgli team is reportedly planning to postpone the worldwide release by one day, to avoid direct clash with the Balakrishna starrer.

Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Srinu, also stars Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Harshaali Malhotra.
