Sree Nandu and Yamini Bhaskar play the lead pair in the upcoming film Psych Siddhartha. The film releases on December 12, and Suresh Productions, headed by veteran producer Suresh Babu, has acquired its rights. Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Babu shared how the project came to him.
“Teja, who works at our Spirit Media, approached me and said there is a film he wanted me to watch. I agreed, and then director Varun Reddy along with a few team members came and screened the film for me,” Suresh Babu said. He added that he found the film to be made from a fresh perspective. “I laughed at some scenes, and they made the film with great energy. I’ve known Nandu since Pelli Choopulu, and when I see this team, I can tell how much effort they put into it,” he said.
He also recalled AVM Productions and its head Saravanan, who recently passed away. “Under the AVM banner, there’s a quote: ‘Efforts never fail.’ The same applies to the Psych Siddhartha team,” he said, offering condolences and mentioning that Rana is in Chennai to pay his respects.
Speaking about the team’s dedication, Suresh Babu said, “They’ve worked hard and taken risks, but their passion is evident. I screened the film to Raghavendra Rao garu and others, and they all appreciated it.” He further added, “After Pelli Choopulu and Care of Kancharapalem, this is another film made with special effort, and that’s why I wanted to support it."
Suresh Babu also praised Nandu’s commitment. “He is not just an actor—he worked like a production manager too, taking on multiple responsibilities. While watching the film, I could see he hasn’t compromised anywhere,” said Suresh Babu, extending his best wishes to the entire team.
