Even though Ram Pothineni’s recent film Andhra King Taluka failed to meet expectations commercially, Ram’s performance has received appreciation. Despite the film’s underwhelming performance, the actor hasn’t slowed down. Now the actor has lined up two new projects.

According to a source, Ram has signed a film with RK Cinema, the banner owned by legendary director K Raghavendra Rao. A debut director will reportedly helm this project. “Raghavendra Rao sent a new director to narrate a script to Ram, and the actor liked the story and agreed to do the film,” said the source. The project is likely to be launched soon.

Additionally, Ram has signed another film with actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani. The film will be produced by the popular production house KVN Productions, the source added.

It is to be noted that the same banner has already announced a major Telugu film with Megastar Chiranjeevi, directed by KS Ravindra. The announcement regarding the Ram–Samuthirakani project, meanwhile, is expected to be made soon.

Samuthirakani has earlier directed many Tamil films and a few Telugu films such as Sambho Siva Sambho, Janda Pai Kapiraju and Bro. Notably, Bro featured Pawan Kalyan and his nephew Sai Dharam Tej, with screenplay by Trivikram Srinivas.

Now, Samuthirakani returns as director for this new Ram Pothineni project. “Some time ago, he met Ram and narrated a story that the actor immediately liked. The film is expected to go on floors once Ram completes his project with RK Cinema,” the source added.
