
Samuthirakani, who is busy with multiple projects in various stages of production, has joined hands with fellow noted director-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon for a new road film titled Carmeni Selvam.
The upcoming film's first look was revealed by Samuthirakani on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi. The poster has the duo enjoying a leisurely car ride. Slated for a Diwali release, it has the tagline 'Some journeys take your far, others bring you home.'
The technical crew consists of cinematography Yuvaraj Dakshan, music has been credited to Musicloud Studio and technology with editing by Jagan RV and Dinesh S. Carmeni Selvam is backed by Arun Rangarajulu while Sree Saravanan serves as the creative producer.
Samuthirakani is awaiting the release of multiple films including Veeravanakkam also starring Bharath (August 29), Dulquer Salmaan's Kaantha (September 12), and Dhanush's Idly Kadai (October 1). The actor is also a part of Baila, written and directed by K Veera Kumar.
On the other hand, Gautham Vasudev Menon last directed Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, starring Mammootty, which was released earlier this year. As an actor, he played key roles in Pradeep Ranganathan's Dragon, Mammootty's Bazooka and Santhanam's DD Next Level. Up next, he will be seen in Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which is slated for release next year during Pongal.
