There hasn’t been a major update in recent times from the makers of NTRNeel, the much-anticipated collaboration between Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel. Considering the makers had set June 25, 2026 as the release date for their film, there has been a lot of speculation among film-goers about other cast members and story details.

Now reports are coming in that the NTRNeel makers are planning to rope in big names from Hindi and Tamil cinema for key roles in the film. Reportedly, Bollywood stalwart Anil Kapoor has been approached for a significant role in the actioner.

If the reports are true, NTRNeel will mark Anil Kapoor’s return to Telugu cinema after 46 years. Before he became a prominent name in Hindi cinema, Anil Kapoor had notably collaborated with many filmmakers from the south like Bapu and Mani Ratnam. Anil Kapoor's recent films include Fighter, Savi and War 2. The veteran actor also gained a new following among film-goers with his appearance in Animal.

Meanwhile, the NTRNeel team recently concluded a shoot schedule in Kumta, and are now planning to resume shoot at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad where huge sets have been built for the film.  Produced by produced by Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili, and Hari Krishna Kosaraju under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the action drama will be released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film has music by Ravi Basrur, cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, and production design by Chalapathi.
