The makers of Jatadhara have released the first look of Divya Khosla on Saturday, introducing her character Sitara in the upcoming bilingual mythological drama.
In the poster, Khosla appears in a traditional green saree. Speaking about her role, the actor said, “Jatadhara is not just a film, it’s an experience rooted in our mythology yet told with such scale and vision that it feels truly global. Playing Sitara has been deeply fulfilling, and I truly admire Prerna Arora as a filmmaker who consistently brings larger-than-life stories to cinema. Her ability to blend grandeur with emotion is inspiring, and I feel proud to be part of this powerful journey.”
Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, Jatadhara stars Sudheer Babu in the lead, alongside Sonakshi Sinha, who makes her debut in Telugu cinema with the project. The cast also includes Shilpa Shirodkar and Divya Vijay in key roles. The film is being produced under the banners of Zee Studios and Ess Kay Gee Entertainments by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal and Nikhil Nanda.
The teaser, unveiled earlier this month, sets the tone for the narrative by presenting Sudheer Babu’s character as a figure of sacrifice, while Sonakshi Sinha’s portrayal of the demonic goddess Dhanapisachini embodies greed.
The sequence culminates with the appearance of Lord Shiva, adding a spiritual dimension into the story. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film employs extensive VFX and stylised sound design to build its mythic world. Jatadhara is yet to get a release date.
