Chiranjeevi marked his 70th birthday on Thursday, drawing tributes from across the Indian film industry. Colleagues, family and fans took to social media to extend their wishes to the veteran, whose career has spanned over four decades and more than 150 films.

Among the first to greet him was Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi's brother and AP Deputy CM, who sent out an official statement from his office which read, “To my elder brother, Chiranjeevi gaaru, I send my heartfelt wishes. Being born as his brother is a great blessing but also being able to witness his rise and his struggle is a priceless life lesson.” Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi’s nephew, also joined in, writing, “Many happy returns of the day to our one and only megastar Chiranjeevi garu @KChiruTweets.”

Venkatesh Daggubati, reflecting on their long friendship, shared, “Happy Birthday, my friend @KChiruTweets! Wishing you peace, health and happiness always.”

Several tributes carried a personal note. Lavanya Tripathi, married to Chiranjeevi’s nephew Varun Tej, wrote, “Happy birthday, mamayya! You are an inspiration, a legend, and yet you always manage to be there for everyone when they need you,” alongside a photograph from her wedding.

Adivi Sesh also thoughtfully wrote, "My fondest memory is the way he showered love upon us during Major. He made and brought our lunch with his own two hands! People don’t realize just how Magnanimous Chiranjeevi Garu is. Grateful to have grown up on his cinema. Grateful that he is one of the greats that inspired me to be in cinema. Stunned that he still acts and dances better than heroes half his age."

Chiranjeevi, often referred to as “Megastar,” remains active on the professional front. The makers of Mega157 are expected to release a glimpse today, while his recently announced film Vishwambhara has already generated anticipation. Another project with director Bobby Kolli is also in development, with details awaited.

Fans marked the milestone with large-scale celebrations online and across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with hashtags wishing him trending for much of the day. As Chiranjeevi steps into his 70th year, the balance between his continued professional commitments and enduring public affection underlines his central place in Telugu cinema.
