August 22 marks the 70th birthday of Chiranjeevi. The makers of Vishwambhara are organising a grand ceremony to celebrate the occasion on Thursday evening, where they also unveiled the special ‘MEGA BLAST’ glimpse of their film.
Vishwambhara special glimpse begins with a curious child’s voiceover, asking what happened with the world of Vishwambhara. An old man then tells the story of a ruthless king whose greed led to a bloody war, followed by the arrival of a saviour who was the only one capable of stopping the war. Unlike the previous teaser, the new Vishwambhara glimpse incorporates a whole different set of visuals, giving a glimpse into its fantastical landscape. By the looks of it, the Vishwambhara makers have seemed to lived upto their word of taking the VFX work many notches up after months of revisions.
The teaser also gives a few intriguing glimpses of Chiranjeevi’s ferociously violent avatar in the film, without fully revealing his look. In a video released earlier today, Chiranjeevi expressed his confidence that Vishwambhara’s story will entertain kids and adults alike, particularly taking the latter to their childhood days of chandamama kathalu.
Bimbisara filmmaker Vassishta Mallidi helms the direction for Vishwambhara. The socio-fantasy drama also features Trisha in the lead role, marking her return to Telugu cinema after nearly 11 years. Kunal Kapoor reportedly plays the antagonist, whose character too is established in the teaser without being revealed. The ensemble cast includes alongside Aashika Ranganath, Ramya Pasupuleti, Esha Chawla, and Ashrita Vemuganti Nanduri. The socio-fantasy drama is backed by UV Creations, with V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati as producers and Vikram Reddy as presenter.
Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani has composed the soundtrack. Additionally, Bheems Ceciroleo has been roped in as a guest composer. For Vishwambhara, the cinematography is is by Chota K Naidu, and sets are designed by AS Kumar.
