There has been a lot of speculation about Nagarjuna’s upcoming project, which will mark the 100th film of his career as a lead hero. During a recent public appearance, Nagarjuna shared updates on the project.
Interacting with Jagapathi Babu on his talk show Jayammu NischayammuRaa with Jagapathi, Nagarjuna confirmed that he is working with Tamil filmmaker R Karthik in his next project. Sharing more details about the film, Nagarjuna stated, “Karthik first narrated the story to me around an year ago. We have been working on the script since 6-7 months. Right after Coolie releases, we will start the shoot. It’s a family drama, with element of action.”
On a light-hearted note, the actor added, “In that film, I am the protagonist,” making a reference to his recent appearances in Dhanush-starrer Kuberaa and Rajinikanth’s Coolie, where other actors were slotted as the male lead.
The film will reportedly be announced on August 29, on the occasion of Nagarjuna’s birthday, with the makers unveiling a special promo. It is not confirmed yet whether the film will be made in Telugu, Tamil, or as a bilingual.
R Karthik made his directorial debut 3 years ago with Nitham Oru Vaanam, which he also wrote.
