Earlier this week, we had reported about the official announcement of Rao Bahadur, the directorial return for Venkatesh Maha, featuring Satyadev in the lead. The announcement was followed by a first look launch, which stunned many film-goers with its presentation of Satyadev who looks unrecognisable as an ageing ancestral king. The teaser of the film is already attached to the theatrical prints of Coolie and War 2 in Telugu states.

Now, the makers have announced that SS Rajamouli will be official unveiling Rao Bahadur teaser worldwife on Monday, August 18. Satyadev shared the said update on his X page, captioning the post, “When the Master of Epic Stories SS Rajamouli sir launches your teaser… you know it’s destined for greatness.  Rao Bahadur teaser on 18th August!”

It is to be noted that Mahesh Babu, the star of Rajamouli’s next (tentatively titled SSMB29) is part of the project as a presenter, presenting it under his GMB Entertainments banner. Anurag Reddy and Sharath are producing the film under A+S Movies in association with SriChakraas Entertainments and Mahayana Motion Pictures.

Rao Bahadur marks Maha’s second collaboration with Satyadev, who was recently seen in Arabia Kadali, the Prime Video series, and Kingdom where he shared screen with Vijay Deverakonda. The two had previously worked in Uma Maheswara Ugra Rupasya (2020), an official remake of the Fahadh Faasil starrer Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016).

For Rao Bahadur, Kartik Parmar handles the cinematography while Smaran Sai is the music director. Rohan Singh handles production design and Shilpa GNS is the costume designer. More details about the primary cast are not announced yet.

The Rao Bahadur makers are targeting a Summer 2026 release. The project has already completed more than half of its shoot.
