Ravi Teja’s upcoming action entertainer Mass Jathara is currently slated for a theatrical release on August 27. However, the film workers’ strike, that commenced on August 4, has reported dampened the Mass Jathara makers’ plans.
According to a few reports, the Mass Jathara had scheduled shoot for a few talkie scenes as well as two elaborate song sequences for the month of August. However, the announcement of federation workers’ strike came to them as a big surprise. Now, the makers are 12 days away from their release date, with reportedly plenty of shoot pending.
Even as the film workers’ strike is expected to be called off next week, it remains to be seen whether Mass Jathara team will announce their release postponement before that. An official announcement from the team is awaited.
Also starring Sreeleela in the lead cast, Mass Jathara is directed by Bhanu Bogavarapu. The teaser of the film was released a few days ago, and was met with lukewarm response. The project is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with presentation by Srikara Studios.
Bheems Ceciroleo has composed the music, with two songs already released by the makers. Vidhu Ayyanna handles cinematography, while editing is by Navin Nooli and production design by Nagendra Tangala, respectively.
Ravi Teja hasn’t had a release in exactly a year now. He was last seen in Harish Shankar’s Mr Bachchan, which released on August 15, last year. Meanwhile, Ravi Teja and Sreeleela previously worked together in the 2022 film Dhamaka, which was a box office hit.
