The teaser of Mass Jathara, starring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, arrived on Monday, offering a glimpse into a blend of action, comedy and romance. Opening with Ravi Teja in his characteristic larger-than-life style, the teaser shows him in the role of a railway police officer, taking on antagonists, twirling his moustache, sharing screen space with Sreeleela in song sequences, and engaging in playful exchanges with Rajendra Prasad, who plays his grandfather.

A standout moment arrives towards the end, where Rajendra Prasad’s character is seen engaging in fan wars on Twitter, delivering the now-popular meme line, “Address Pettu”, a nod to online banter. The visuals suggest a film positioned squarely within Ravi Teja’s comfort zone which is a high-energy action laced with humour and romance.

Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, Mass Jathara reunites Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, a pairing previously seen in the hit, Dhamaka. The project is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with presentation by Srikara Studios. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 27.

Bheems Ceciroleo has composed the music, with two songs already out. Vidhu Ayyanna handles cinematography, while editing is by Navin Nooli and production design by Nagendra Tangala. The teaser’s background score, combined with snappy, energetic visuals shows a commercial package timed for a festival release.

Ravi Teja, last seen in Harish Shankar’s Mr Bachchan, appears to be returning to a familiar template.
