Anjali teams up with director Rajasekhar Reddy for new female-driven film

The project, produced by 9 Creations, was formally launched in Hyderabad with a pooja ceremony

Anjali is set to headline a new, the makers describe it as a “female-centric film,” directed by Rajasekhar Reddy Pulicharla and produced under the 9 Creations banner. The project was officially launched on Friday with a pooja ceremony held at the production office in Hyderabad. Rajachandrasekhar Reddy Kandula is backing the film as producer.

Rajasekhar Reddy Pulicharla, known for directing commercial entertainers such as Software Sudheer and Galodu, described the upcoming film as a distinctive concept within the women-oriented genre. While the storyline remains under wraps, the makers have indicated that the film will aim to present a fresh take in its category.

Anjali, who has built a diverse career across Telugu and Tamil cinema, will take on the lead role. The film features cinematography by C Ram Prasad, whose work spans a range of mainstream Telugu productions. Details about the supporting cast and technical crew are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Regular shooting for the film is scheduled to begin soon, with production set to take place largely in Hyderabad and surrounding locations.

Anjali was last seen in Ram Charan starrer Game Changer which came out during Sankranthi and got mixed reception at the Box office.
