Gopichand is reuniting with Sree Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC) banner for his next project. The film, billed as a thriller, was officially launched on Thursday with a muhurtham pooja ceremony. 

The film, untitled as yet, will be helmed by debutant filmmaker Kumar Sai. Malayalam actor Meenakshi Dinesh has been signed as another lead opposite Gopichand. Meenakshi has worked in films like Irrata, 18+ and Karki. 

Gopichand had previously collaborated with SVCC for the 2013 film Sahasam, which received critical acclaim and was a commercial success. While more details about the primary cast and crew are yet to be announced, Shamdat ISC has been signed as the cinematographer. 

SVCC produced the recently released Jack, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, which didn’t fare well at the boxoffice. The Gopichand starrer marks 39th film production for the banner.  BVSN Prasad serves as the producer, while Bapineedu is onboard as the presenter. 

Gopichand’s other upcoming projects include a film with Ghazi fame Sankalp Reddy, which was announced in March.
