We had earlier reported about Samantha Ruth Prabhu making her film production debut with Subham. The makers have now set May 9 as the release date for their film.

The first teaser of the film was released nearly three weeks ago. Directed by Cinema Bandi fame Praveen Kandregula, Subham promises to be a quirky comedy about a small town family’s obsession with television, and the chaos it causes in their ordinary lives.

Subham stars Kalki 2898 AD fame Harshith Malgireddy, Shriya Kontham, Charan Peri, Shalini Kondepudi, Gavireddy Srinivas, and Shravani in the lead role. The ensemble cast includes Vamshidhar Goud, among others. 

Samantha is producing the film under Tra La La Moving Pictures banner in association with Kanakavalli Talkies. Subham’s screenplay is written by Vasanth Mariganti. The technical crew includes cinematographer Mridul Sujit Sen, editor Dharmendra Kakarla, and production designer Ram Charan Tej. While Vivek Sagar has composed the background score, the songs are composed by Clinton Cerejo. 

Praveen Kandregula has another film coming up titled Paradha, which stars Anupama Parmeswaran and Darshana Rajendran among others in prominent roles.
