Pan-India film Ramam announced on Sri Rama Navami by Chitralayam Studios

Producer Venu Donepudi unveils Ramam, a new pan-India film marking the debut of director Lokamanya

On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, Chitralayam Studios announced a new pan-India film titled Ramam. Produced by Venu Donepudi, the film carries the tagline “The Rise of Akira” and is said to follow the journey of a heroic warrior figure, inspired by the principles of Rama. A motion poster was released to mark the film's launch.

Ramam is positioned as a large-scale project, with its narrative rooted in themes of dharma and justice. It is set to explore a fictional but symbolic character whose path mirrors that of Rama’s, aiming to draw parallels between ancient ideals and modern times.

Ramam marks the debut of Lokamanya as the director of the project. A young Telugu actor is said to play the lead role, with more details about the cast and crew expected to be announced soon. Pre-production of the filmis currently underway, with filming expected to begin shortly. The production house recently co-produced Gopichand's Viswam.
