Rashmika Mandanna, who had a massive hit with her previous release Pushpa 2: The Rule, is working with Rahul Ravindran for her next film, titled The Girlfriend. The teaser of the film’s first single, titled ‘Reyi Lolothula,’ was unveiled on Saturday, which also marks Rashmika’s birthday.

‘Reyi Lolothula’ is sung by Chinmayi Sripada and composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, while lyrics are penned by Rakendu Mouli. The song teaser also features a poem, written by Rahul Ravindran and voiced by Vijay Deverakonda. It is to be noted that the song was used in the film's first teaser as well, which was released in December last year.

Additionally, the makers have released the song teaser in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada as well. 

Produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni & Vidya Koppineedi, The Girlfriend stars Dheekshith Shetty as the male lead. Allu Aravind is on board as the presenter for the film. In the technical crew, Krishnan Vasant is in charge of cinematography while Chota K Prasad helms the editing. The costume design is by Shravya Varma.

Rahul Ravindran’s previous directorial was the 2019 film Manmadhudu 2.
