Prasanth Varma’s cinematic universe franchise, more popularly known as PVCU, remains one of the most anticipated projects in Telugu cinema. While Prasanth had earlier announced Jai Hanuman and Mahakali as second and third part of the franchise, more details about the film were awaited. It is now confirmed that Akshaye Khanna has joined the cast of Mahakali.

Mahakali is produced by RKD Studios. The first poster of the film was unveiled a few months ago. Prasanth, who has written the script, will be serving as the showrunner on this project. Puja Aparna Kolluru, meanwhile, helms direction. On the other hand, Jai Hanuman, stars Rishab Shetty in the lead role. The makers had released a motion poster of the film back in October. 

Prasanth Varma’s other projects include a film with Nandamuri Mokshagnya, tentatively titled Simba.

Akshaye Khanna was recently seen in Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Chhaava, where he played the role of Aurangzeb.
