The makers of 23 released their first single, titled ‘Bangaram Akkarleni,’ on Tuesday. 23 is directed by Raj Rachakonda, who is known for films like Mallesham and 8am Metro.

Penned by Academy award winner Chandrabose, ‘Bangaram Akkarleni’ is a gentle and soothing romantic composition, with minimal yet effective use of flute and tabla. Karthik and Ramya Behara are the playback singers for the melodious composition by Mark K Robin. The song video is picturised on Teja and Tanmai, the lead pair of the film.

Produced under the banner of Studio 99, 23 promises to be a social drama based on true events and exploring the themes of justice, cyclical violence, and law and order. Apart from Teja and Tanmai, the film stars Jhansi, Thagabothu Ramesh and Praneeth in prominent roles.

Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media is onboard as the distributor. In the technical team, Laxman Aelay helms production design while Anil Aalayam is the editor. The cinematography is by Sunny Kurapati.
