Vijay Deverakonda, who last headlined the romantic drama The Family Star, is reportedly undergoing intense prep for his upcoming film, tentatively titled VD 12, where he will be seen performing many action scenes. The film is being directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.

Recently, the actor reportedly took an ice bath after rigorous training for the action sequences, which include combat training and power-packed stunts. Sources reveal that his action scenes are so intense that recovery is essential to keep him in top shape for the next shot. “These ice baths help him fight muscle fatigue and get back to the set ready for more,” said a crew member from the sets. 

VD 12 is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively. The film will be presented by Srikara Studios. The film has music composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographers Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T John, and editor Navin Nooli as part of its technical team.

VD 12 is tentatively scheduled for a March 2025 release.
