The makers of Jr NTR’s Devara planned a pre-release event for the film at Novotel, Hyderabad on Sunday. However, due to the excessive crowd and their out-of-control behaviour led the organisers to call off the event at the last minute. The crowd reportedly went berserk and destroyed property at the hotel causing bouncers and security staff to take charge. 

Criticism is being mounted on the organisers for planning an indoor event when it is common knowledge that there would be a huge crowd for big star pre-release events. Cinephiles and fans of actor Jr NTR are fuming on social media at the organisers. Yet, the organisers conveyed that the event did not receive permission for an outdoor event due to rains. 

Devara, produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Sudhakar Mikkilineni-Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, also stars Jahnvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Shine Tom Chacko and more. The actioner helmed by director Koratala Siva is coming to the screens on September 27.
