The makers of the Kiran Abbavaram starrer KA, a period-thriller, announced on Monday that the Malayalam distribution rights for the film have been acquired by Wayfarer Films, owned by Dulquer Salmaan. The team is yet to announce a release date for the film.

KA is helmed by debut director-duo Sujith and Sandeep. Mrs Chinta Varalakshmi is presenting the film, while it is backed by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under the banner of Srichakraas Entertainments. The Telugu distribution rights for the film have been acquired by Vamsi Nandipati. The film is reported to be based in an 80s village where the postman Vasudev, played by Kiran Abbavaram, unlocks a mystery. The makers released a teaser for the film a month ago, and it raised curiosity among cinephiles.

KA has cinematography by Viswas Daniel and Sateesh Reddy, production design by Sudheer, and editing by Sreevara Prasad. The film also has music by Sam CS. The period thriller also features Nayan Sarika and Tanvi Raam.
