Gopichand, whose previous film Bhimaa released in March this year, will soon be seen headlining the action entertainer Viswam. The official teaser of the film was unveiled on Tuesday.

Viswam is directed by Sreenu Vaitla, who has previously made popular films like Venky and Ready, among many others. The teaser for Viswam starts off in a fun entertainer zone, establishing the protagonist, Gopireddy, a soft-spoken man who gets violent whenever someone uses his father’s name to curse and is chosen as a suitable mate for Kavya Thapar's character . However, the teaser takes a drastic turn towards an action-driven zone where we see Gopireddy on a violent mission across the globe. By the looks of it, Viswam also pays homage to Sreeni Vaitla’s 2004 hit film Venky, where a huge chunk of the narrative takes place in a train compartment.

Kavya Thapar, who recently shared screenspace with Ram Pothineni in Double iSmart, plays the female lead in Viswam. The film’s ensemble cast includes actors like Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Jisshu Sengupta, Sunil, Kick Shyam, VTV Ganesh, Srikanth Iyengar, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Mukesh Rishi, among others.

Viswam, which marks the filmmaker’s first collaboration with Gopichand, is slated for a theatrical release on October 11. People Media Factory is the production banner for the film.
