Ritu Varma, who played a double role in the recently released Swag, has joined the cast of the upcoming Sundeep Kishan starrer Mazaka. The makers made the official announcement on Saturday, also confirming a Sankranthi 2025 release.

Additionally, the Mazaka team also shared a tongue-in-cheek video featuring Sundeep and Ritu, who are playfully teasing each other, with the latter dressed in a bridal outfit. This is the first time the two actors will be seen together on the big screen.

Mazaka is being directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina, who has earlier made films like Nenu Local and Dhamaka. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada is the scriptwriter. The film, jointly produced under the banners of AK Entertainment, Zee Studios, and Hasya Movies, also stars Rao Ramesh and Anshu Ambani in the supporting cast. Leon James is the music director for the film, while Nizar Shafi is the cinematographer. The first look poster of the film was released a month ago.

Sundeep Kishan’s previous release was the Dhanush directorial Tamil film Raayan. In Telugu cinema, he last headlined the mystery drama Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, which released in February this year.
