The makers of the much-awaited Varun Tej starrer Matka unveiled their first teaser at a grand ceremony on Saturday. The upcoming film is written and directed by Karuna Kumar. 

The teaser of Matka establishes with a conversation between the underdog protagonist Vasu (Varun Tej) and a jailer who predicts Vasu’s future, proclaiming him as one of those men who have the potential to decide the course of fate of the world around them. The teaser then briefly charts the journey of Vasu into becoming a powerful and much-feared crime overlord, ending with a powerful line from Vasu about how the business of crime never dies as long as greed exists in the world.

As seen in the teaser, Nora Fatehi, Naveen Chandra, and Meenakshi Chaudary will be seen playing important roles in the film as well. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director for the upcoming crime-drama.

Produced on a lavish scale by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Talluri under Vyra Entertainments in Association with SRT Entertainments, Matka tells a story that spans over 24 years. The film is slated for a release in multiple languages on November 14.
