Bobby Deol has completed filming for Daaku Maharaaj, an upcoming action thriller starring Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna. According to sources, Deol wrapped up his portion on Thursday. This film marks his Telugu debut, where he takes on the role of a formidable antagonist.
The recently released teaser has sparked excitement, showcasing Balakrishna in a dacoit avatar. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the teaser introduces NBK as "a king without a kingdom who waged a war," riding through desert landscapes in a fierce, intense transformation.
Produced by Suryadevara Nagavamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas, Daaku Maharaaj is set for a global theatrical release on January 12, 2025. The film also features Shraddha Srinath, Pragya Jaiswal, Urvashi Rautela, and Chandni Chowdary.
Adding to the anticipation, music by SS Thaman, renowned for his successful collaborations with Balakrishna, has become a talking point. The film has cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by Niranjan Devaramane.
Meanwhile, Bobby Deol recently starred in Kanguva, a period drama with Suriya. Bobby’s upcoming releases include Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Daaku Maharaaj is set to clash with Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Venkatesh-starrer Sankrantiki Vasthunnam at the box office during Sankranti 2025.
