Ahead of their film’s release, the makers of Zebra released their new single, ‘Gaayalaina’, on Monday. The music for the upcoming heist thriller is composed by Ravi Basrur, who is popular among Telugu filmgoers for his scores for films like KGF franchise and Salaar.

Sung by Santosh Venky, ‘Gaayalaina’ is a funky and moody number, composed as a homage to the old-fashioned song songs of Telugu movies. Purnachary’s lyrics offer an amusing blend of poetic verses and colloquial English phrases, which add to the fun and irreverent vibe of the composition. The ‘Gaayalaina’ video captures the monotony and drudgery of the film’s protagonist, played by Satyadev. 

Ravi Basrur is also composing the background score for the film that is co-written and directed by Eashvar Karthic. Zebra boasts of a strong ensemble cast, with actors like Sathyaraj, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Daali Dhananjaya and Satya playing prominent roles. 

Bankrolled under the banners of Old Town Pictures and Padmaja Films, Zebra will hit theatres on November 22, clashing against Vishwak Sen starrer Mechanic Rocky and Devaki Nandana Vasudeva.
