During a media interaction on Tuesday, ace producer Allu Aravind talked about his upcoming release Thandel. The film touted as an intense love story is coming to the screens on February 7, 2025. Talking about the performances, he declared, “Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya will win the National Award and there’s high chances with Thandel.”

Addressing the release delay issue where Thandel was supposed to arrive during Sankranti but got postponed, he explained, “The logic is that we will not be able to screen our film in a significant number of theatres had we opted for Sankranti release. The first weekend and the first week’s collection are very important for any big film. The second week is important as well if the film becomes a hit. From third week, the collections will be insignificant; that’s the trend.”

“We wanted a clean date without any opposition and to release the film in a maximum number of theatres. After considering all these factors, we locked this date,” he concluded

Thandel is written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti who previously helmed Naga Chaitanya’s Premam and the National Award-winning mystery thriller Karthikeya 2. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Shamdat, and production design by Srinagendra Tangala.
