Sai Durgha Tej, who was last seen in the Pawan Kalyan starrer Bro, is working with debutant director Rohith KP in his next film, tentatively titled SDT 18. The film, which is billed as a period action-drama, also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi in a prominent role. Now Jagapathi Babu has officially joined the cast of the film.

The makers of SDT 18 made the announcement on Monday. Sharing an intense poster of the actor, the makers added the caption, “An icon of versatility and a maestro of emotion. Team SDT 18 proudly welcomes the one and only Jagapathi Babu on board. This epic journey is set to explode like never before with the legendary intensity he will bring to the screens.”

SDT 18 is backed by Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy under the banner of Primeshow Entertainment. Director Rohith KP is also the writer for the film. The film is set to have a pan-Indian release in the major languages of Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. 

Jagapathi Babu played prominent roles in films like Guntur Kaaram, The Family Star and Mr Bachchan earlier this year.
