The makers of Odela 2 unveiled the first look poster of Vasishta Simha, who plays a daunting antagonist named Tirupathi. The poster shows Simhaas, a “Rakshas” with his face blended with a skull. The makers also wrote, "He is not just the night; he is the nightmare."

Odela 2 is a sequel to the 2021 supernatural thriller Odela Railway Station. The film is directed by Ashok Teja with a story by Sampath Nandi.

D Madhu bankrolled Odela 2 in partnership with Sampath Nandi under the labels Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks. The sequel stars Tamannah Bhatia in the lead role of Shiva Shakthi, with Hebah Patel, Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy also on board. The supernatural thriller has music by Ajaneesh Loknath, while Soundararajan cranked the camera and Tammiraju took care of the editing. 

Based on a real incident, Odela Railway Station revolved around a village called Odela where a serial killer murders newlywed women. The thriller became a hit and gained an audience on the internet. The makers are yet to reveal a release date for the film.
