Filmmaker Prashanth Neel's Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire, which released in December 2023, is all set to release theatrically in Japan on July 5. The action spectacle, which starred Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, was produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner.

The banner shared the Japan release update on their X page, alongside a special trailer for their film.

It is to be noted that SS Rajamouli's film RRR, whose 'Naatu Naatu' won a Best Original Song Oscar, also released in Japan seven months after its original release and enjoyed a massive commercial success.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is reportedly planning to begin shoot for Salaar: part 2 later this month.
