Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer Happy Days to have a re-release

The makers of the iconic 2007 film Happy Days have announced a re-release of their film. The Sekhar Kammula directorial will hit the theatres again in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on April 12.

Happy Days revolved around a bunch of undergrad engineering students from different social strata who find love and deep friendships as they navigate the complex terrains of college life. 

Happy Days boasted of a huge ensemble cast, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, Varun Sandesh, Nikhil Siddarth, Sonia Deepti and Kamalini Mukherjee among many others. The youthful film was a sleeper hit and one of the most popular films that year, and consolidated the budding careers of many including Tamannah and Sekhar. The latter also wrote and produced the film.

After enjoying massive success in Telugu, the film was remade in Kannada as Jolly Days (2008) and in Tamil as Inidhu Inidhu (2010).

With its re-release plans, Happy Days joins other popular 2000s films like Varsham, Oy!, Ee Rojullo and Nuvve Nenu which too had a re-release this year.
